The New York Jets have agreed in principle on a contract with safety LaRon Landry.

Landry has spent the past five seasons with the Redskins after they took him with the sixth overall pick in the 2007 draft.

The LSU product was limited to 17 games over the past two seasons combined due to injuries.

The hard-hitting safety played in 64 games with Washington, recording 383 tackles, 5 1/2 sacks and four interceptions.
