Toronto netted two more goals in the second period.
Crabb's one-timer from the slot came early in the frame and Gardiner made it 3-0 at the 12:28 mark with a wrister from the left circle.
St. Louis' tally came with just 36 seconds left in the game, preventing Reimer from picking up his fourth shutout of the season and the seventh of his career.
The Leafs were 1-for-6 on the power play while Tampa Bay was 0-for-5 on the man advantage...St. Louis' goal was his 23rd of the season...Toronto had 26 shots on net in the final two periods.
