Matt Stajan scored with just 40 seconds to play 2 win over the San Jose Sharks.

With time winding down in the extra session, the Flames went the other way on a 2-on-1 break and Blake Comeau feathered a perfect pass from the slot over to the low left circle and Stajan buried the puck with a one-timer for the win.

Jarome Iginla had a goal and an assist, and Sven Baertschi also scored for the Flames, who are on a four-game winning streak. Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 29 shots.

Calgary and San Jose now both have 78 points, but San Jose currently holds the eighth spot in the Western Conference thanks to one more win and one less game played.

Logan Couture scored both goals for the Sharks, who have dropped six of seven. Antti Niemi allowed all three goals on 22 shots in the loss.
