Washington, D.C. – D.C. United defender Ethan White is expected to spend the next six weeks on the sidelines after undergoing a procedure to repair a problem in his right knee.
"We are pleased to hear that Ethan had a successful surgery yesterday. We expect a full recovery in six weeks and look forward to him contributing on a daily basis once fully recovered," said United general manager Dave Kasper.
White did well in his first season with United last year, appearing in 24 matches for the club, including 21 starts, and netting his first MLS goal in a 2-2 draw against Chivas USA in September.
