The Jacksonville Jaguars on Wednesday signed unrestricted free agent defensive end Jeremy Mincey and restricted free agent linebacker Russell Allen to contracts.

The 28-year-old Mincey played his first game for Jacksonville in 2007. He did not start until 2010 but worked his way into the primary role last season, when he started all 16 contests for the Jaguars.

The Florida product's 57 tackles, eight sacks, four forced fumbles and one interception in 2011 all set career-high marks. Mincey led the Jaguars in sacks in each of the last two seasons, and became the first player to lead the team in sacks in consecutive seasons since Tony Brackens (1999-2001).

In 48 games -- 15 starts -- over three seasons with Jacksonville, Allen, 25, has recorded 136 tackles, two forced fumbles and one interception.
