The New York Jets have re-signed veteran linebacker Bryan Thomas, who missed all but four games last season with a torn left Achilles tendon.
Thomas signed after the NFL's free agent period started at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
He was injured in the first quarter of an October 2 game in Baltimore, the first time since the Jets drafted him No. 22 overall in 2002 that he played fewer than 14 games in a season.
Thomas has 418 tackles and 31 sacks in 145 NFL games, all with the Jets.
