Milwaukee Bucks forward Ersan Ilyasova and Golden State Warriors guard Monta Ellis have been named Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week for games played through Sunday March 11.
Ilyasova paced the Bucks to a 3-1 mark over that span and sparked key wins over the Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks.
The native of Turkey averaged 25 points while shooting 64 percent from the floor over the week's games and posted three point-rebound double-doubles.
Ellis averaged 20.5 points and 7.5 assists, helping the Warriors finish the week with a 3-1 record.
Ellis opened the week with a 25-point, eight-assist performance in a 120-100 win over the Washington Wizards, then posted 20 points, eight assists and three steals in a 111-87 victory over the Dallas Mavericks. and finished the week with 21 points, 11 assists and six rebounds as Golden State edged the Clippers, 97-93.
Other nominees included Atlanta's Josh Smith, Cleveland's Kyrie Irving and Antawn Jamison, Detroit's Rodney Stuckey, Memphis' O.J. Mayo, Miami's LeBron James, Oklahoma City's James Harden, Orlando's Dwight Howard, Philadelphia's Evan Turner and Marcin Gortat and Steve Nash of the Phoenix Suns.
