Perry scores twice as Ducks double up Oilers

Corey Perry scored the winner in the third 2 win over the Edmonton Oilers at Honda Center.

Perry scored twice, with the winner being the 200th goal his career, while Jason Blake and Bobby Ryan also lit the lamp for the Ducks, who had dropped three of four.

Jonas Hiller turned aside 34 shots in the win for Anaheim, which moved five points back of San Jose for the eighth playoff spot in the Western Conference with three teams in front.

Shawn Horcoff and Jordan Eberle each had a goal for the Oilers, who have dropped their past three games. Nikolai Khabibulin turned aside 26-of-29 shots in the loss.

With the score tied at one in the third, Ryan skated in on a breakaway and switched to the backhand before lifting it over Khabibulin at the 8:09 mark.

The Ducks added a goal when Niklas Hagman picked off the puck along the left boards and centered it for Perry, who gathered the puck and wristed it home for a 3-1 lead with 3:20 to play.

The goal proved fortunate as Teemu Selanne was whistled for the only Anaheim penalty of the game a bit later and, with Khabibulin pulled for a 6-on-4, the Oilers cashed in as Eberle one-timed the puck home from the low left side with 1:46 to play.

Khabibulin started to skate off after Edmonton got the puck in the Anaheim end, but Perry was able to steal the disc and put it into the net to seal the win.

Blake scored with 2:42 to play in the first on the power play, but Edmonton was able to tie the game in the final minute of the second after Horcoff redirected a Nick Schultz shot home.
