Harvard to play six home games in 2012

Harvard football hopes to take advantage of six home games while it tries to defend its Ivy League championship this season.

The Crimson will play six of its 10 games at Harvard Stadium for the first time since 2003.

Coach Tim Murphy's squad, which finished 9-1 overall and 7-0 in the Ivy League this past season, will host San Diego (Sept. 15), Holy Cross (Sept. 28) and Bucknell (Oct. 13) in non-conference action, and Cornell (Oct. 6), Columbia (Nov. 3) and rival Yale (Nov. 17) in Ivy action.

Harvard and Yale will be squaring off in the 129th edition of "The Game." The Crimson have won fifth straight and 10 of the last 11 meetings.

Harvard's road games are all within the Ivy League at Brown (Sept. 22), Princeton (Oct. 20), Dartmouth (Oct. 26) and Penn (Nov. 10).
