Emery lifts Blackhawks over Red Wings

Ray Emery turned aside 23 shots to help the 1 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday.

Patrick Kane and Patrick Sharp each had a goal for the Blackhawks, who have posted wins in three consecutive games.

Niklas Kronwall scored the lone goal for the Red Wings, who have dropped four of their last six.

Detroit started Jimmy Howard in net, but he left in the first period with a lower body injury. He gave up one goal on five shots and was back on the bench in the second period. Joey MacDonald finished the game in net and allowed one goal on 13 shots.
