Jonathan Tinhan's 88th-minute goal was needed 1 draw.

Gael Kakuta looked to have put Dijon on its way to a second win in six games when he scored in the 67th minute, but Tinhan's first Ligue 1 goal salvaged a point for the league-leaders, who moved two clear of PSG.

The capital club can take over the top spot on Sunday with a home win over Ajaccio.

Montpellier was playing without leading scorer Olivier Giroud and it showed as the visitors struggled in attack and fell behind with a little over 20 minutes to play.

A shot from Eric Bautheac struck the post but Kakuta was on hand to fire home the rebound from close range.

Montpellier came on strong at the end of the match, and after John Utaka was denied the equalizer by the post, Tinhan headed home Marco Estrada's free kick to snatch a point for his team.

Lille 2, Auxerre 2

Lille, France - Lille's hopes of defending the Ligue 1 title took a hit on Saturday as the club threw away a two-goal lead against second-from-the-bottom Auxerre at home and had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Eden Hazard tallied the lone goal of the first half for Lille before Mauro Cetto was dismissed shortly before the break for the home side.

Lille appeared to be in control when Hazard notched his second goal of the game from the penalty spot, while Auxerre was also reduced to 10 men when Anthony Le Tallec was sent off.

But the visitors responded well and scored two times in the final 10 minutes to claim an unlikely point with Ben Sahar reducing the deficit before Cedric Hengbart's goal in the 84th minute sealed a point for Auxerre, which is winless in its last nine games.

Lille could have closed to within five points of leaders Montpellier with a win but remain seven adrift of the top spot.

Toulouse 1, Marseille 0

Marseille, France - Toulouse claimed a third successive win on Saturday at the Stade Velodrome by knocking off Marseille, 1-0, on a second-half goal from Aymen Abdennour.

Marseille has now lost two straight matches after a run of 15 games in all competitions without defeat, leaving the club with plenty of work to do in order to secure a European place for next season.

The lone goal arrived midway through the second half when Etienne Didot's cross found the head of Abdennour, who nodded the ball beyond Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda.

Marseille now faces a busy week that includes a match on Tuesday at Evian before the club takes on Ajaccio on Friday.

Nancy 2, Lyon 0

Nancy, France - Nancy claimed three vital points in its bid to survive relegation as the hosts downed Lyon, 2-0, on Saturday behind second-half goals from Sebastien Puygrenier and Djamel Bakar.

Nancy had lost its last three matches but took the lead in the 66th minute when Puygrenier headed home Yohan Mollo's corner kick at the near post.

Lyon then found itself down two goals when Loosemy Karaboue set up Bakar on the counter-attack for a curling effort that beat goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

The visitors struck the post five minutes from time from Bakari Kone's header, but it was as close as they came to finding the net.

Evian 2, St Etienne 0

Saint Etienne, France - St Etienne saw its four-match unbeaten streak come to an end on Saturday as the hosts suffered a surprising 2-0 defeat at the hands of Evian.

Despite controlling the play for the majority of the first half it was St Etienne that went behind shortly before the break when Sidney Govou's flicked header was finished off at close range by Cedric Mongongu.

The home side pushed men forward in the second half in a bid to equalize, but instead it was Evian that found a second goal in stoppage time when Thomas Kahlenberg squared a ball to Yannick Sagbo for an easy tap in.

Evian moves into the middle of the league having won back-to-back matches.

Sochaux 1, Valenciennes 1

Montbeliard, France - Valenciennes was denied three points at last-place Sochaux on Saturday by a 77th-minute own goal from Isimat Mirin in a 1-1 draw.

Gregory Pujol had the visitors in the lead in the 69th minute by latching on to a through ball from Renaud Cohade to beat goalkeeper Teddy Richert.

But the opener was canceled out eight minutes later when a shot from Sochaux's Sebastien Corchia was redirected into his own by Mirin.

Valenciennes still extends its unbeaten run to five games while Sochaux picked up its second point in five matches.

Nice 2, Bordeaux 1

Bordeaux, France - Nice climbed out of the relegation zone on Saturday following a 2-1 win at Bordeaux.

A successful penalty kick from Luciano Monzon had the visitors in front after 17 minutes while Guie Gneki Abraham doubled the lead before halftime.

Bordeaux had won three of its last four games entering the match but could only manage to pull one goal back in the 67th minute through Marc Planus.

Nice moves out of the bottom three on goal difference with Bordeaux's European hopes for next season taking another hit.
