After missing the past three games through suspension, AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will return to the team ahead of a trip to Palermo on Saturday.

Milan claimed seven of a possible nine points from the three games, including a 1-1 draw with Juventus last time out that kept the Rossoneri one point clear of Juve at the top of the league.

But the return of the Swede will be a big boost for Massimiliano Allegri's men, which have not won at Palermo since the 2005-06 season and will be without defender Philippe Mexes, who serves the first of a three-match ban, while strikers Maxi Lopez, Antonio Cassano and Alexandre Pato are out due to injury.

Ibrahimovic leads Milan with 15 goals this term, but he will be coming up against a Palermo team that has won 10 of 12 home games this season.

The hosts are winless on the road, however, and have lost two of their last three matches overall.

Juventus will have a chance to claim the top spot in Serie A this week as the club enters the weekend one point back of AC Milan with a game in hand.

Juve will host a Chievo side that has won two straight games on Saturday before the club visits Bologna on Wednesday.

Udinese continues its battle for third place when the club hosts Atalanta on Sunday in search of its second win in five games, while Lazio, which is level with Udinese, faces rivals Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.

Napoli is in a good run of form having won its last three games in the league to climb to fifth and will travel to Parma in the hopes of keeping a clean sheet for the sixth successive match.

Bologna and Novara tangle at the Renato Dall'Ara in a battle of bottom-half sides, last-place Cesena visits a Fiorentina club that has lost its last three games, Lecce is two points from safety and hosts Genoa while Siena sits just above the drop zone and tries to build on its 4-1 win over Palermo last time out with a home match against Cagliari.
