Nets sign F Green

The New Jersey Nets signed free agent day contract, Nets general managers Billy King announced on Monday.

Green has played in 22 games for the NBA D-League's Los Angeles D-Fenders, averaging 19.1 points and 4.6 rebounds per game and recently received the 2012 D-League All-Star game MVP award.

The 25-year-old was a first round draft pick of the Boston Celtics in 2005 with the 18th overall pick.

Over four NBA seasons with the Celtics, Timberwolves, Rockets and Mavericks, Green boasts averages of 7.5 points and 2.0 rebounds in 181 games.
