The Blue Columbus Jackets activated backup goaltender Curtis Sanford from injured reserve on Wednesday.
Sanford hasn't played since February 8 due to a lower-body injury suffered in a game against the Dallas Stars.
Prior to the setback, the 32-year-old went 10-13-4 with a 2.52 goals-against average and one shutout in 29 appearances.
To make room on the roster, the Jackets sent goaltender Allen York to Chicago of the ECHL.
