April Sykes scored 17 points and No. 24 Rutgers defeated Seton Hall 62-39 on Tuesday night.

Khadijah Rushdan added 15 points and Erica Wheeler chipped in 11 in the Scarlett Knights' 12th straight win over Seton Hall, dating back to 2003.

Rutgers (19-8, 8-6 Big East) attempted 20 more shots than Seton Hall (22 of 60, compared to 14 of 40) and forced 16 turnovers, leading to 31 points.

The Pirates (7-21, 0-14) made just 2 of 13 from 3-point range and were outrebounded 35-29.

Rutgers trailed 13-11 with 8:37 left in the first half, before scoring eight straight to lead for good.

The Scarlett Knights put together their biggest streak, scoring 15 straight to lead 49-32 on Rushdan's free throws with 12:19 to play.

Jasmine Crew scored 20 points and Brittany Morris had 14 for the Pirates, who have lost 16 straight overall and 14 straight in conference play.
