Second seed Alexandra Dulgheru was a round upset victim Tuesday at the $220,000 XX Copa BBVA Colsanitas tennis tournament.

Wild card and 32-year-old Colombian favorite Catalina Castano advanced with a 5-7, 6-0, 6-3 victory over once-promising Bulgarian Sesil Karatantcheva.

Other Day-2 wins came for Czech Eva Birnerova, Romanian Edina Gallovits-Hall, Kazakhstani qualifier Yaroslava Shvedova, Russian Alexandra Panova and Hungarian Timea Babos.
