Magic's Howard to start All-Star Game in Orlando

Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic was the getter with 1,600,390 votes and will start for the Eastern Star Game.

The starters for both teams were announced Thursday, and joining Howard on the East's squad are forward Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks, forward LeBron James and guard Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat and point guard Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls.

With 1,555,479 votes, guard Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers was the leading vote-getter of the Western Conference.

Those who will join Bryant in the starting lineup include forward Blake Griffin and point guard Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers, forward Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Bryant's teammate, center Andrew Bynum.
