Milan, Italy –  AC Milan announced Tuesday that it has reached a deal with city rivals Inter Milan to secure the services of Sulley Muntari on loan for the remainder of the season.

The Ghanaian midfielder has struggled to consistently hold down a first-team place with Inter since joining the Nerazzurri in 2008. In 70 appearances, Muntari has managed just six goals.

Muntari spent the second half of the 2010-11 season on loan with Sunderland but failed to impress in his nine appearances with the Black Cats.
