Denver, CO – The Colorado Rockies have signed pitcher Rafael Betancourt to a contract extension through the 2013 season with an option for 2014.
The 36-year-old right-hander was 2-0 with a 2.89 earned run average and eight saves in 68 relief outings for the Rockies last season.
Betancourt has compiled a 33-24 career record with a 3.18 ERA and 27 saves over his nine-year career with the Indians and Rockies.
