Nets' Damion James has season-ending surgery

East Rutherford, NJ – New Jersey Nets forward Damion James underwent successful right foot surgery on Tuesday. He will miss the remainder of the season.

The procedure, which was performed by Dr. David Porter at Indiana University Health Hospital in Indianapolis, involved the replacement of a screw in James' fifth metatarsal. He fractured the bone last season and originally underwent surgery on December 13, 2010.

James, the 24th overall pick in the 2010 draft, started the first seven games of this season, averaging 4.9 points and 4.7 rebounds, before re- aggravating the injury.
