The Sacramento Kings will continue a three-game road trip tonight against the Memphis Grizzlies at FedEx Forum.

The Kings ended a 12-game losing streak to the San Antonio Spurs with Friday's 88-86 victory thanks to Tyreke Evans' jumper with 47.2 seconds remaining in the game. The Spurs had a chance to send the game into overtime in the closing seconds, but Danny Green's runner was short and Tim Duncan's putback attempt rimmed out at the buzzer to seal the Kings' second straight win on the heels of a three-game losing streak.

Evans finished with 23 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists, while Marcus Thornton and DeMarcus Cousins each had 17 points for Sacramento, which improved to 2-7 away from home this season. Cousins also grabbed 13 boards and has recorded double-doubles in seven of the last nine games.

"It's probably the biggest win of the year so far for us. A playoff tested team, a championship team," Kings guard John Salmons said. "They have banners in the rafters and for us to come and get a win like that in a close game that just says how much this team has grown. If we can continue to get better, we can shock a lot of people."

Sacramento will also visit Portland on the road swing and hasn't won three in a row since a four-game run from March 23-29, 2011.

Memphis looks to extend its season high winning streak to six games tonight and recorded a 98-81 victory at Detroit on Friday.

Rudy Gay netted 24 points and Mike Conley added 14 points and 11 assists for the Grizzlies, who pushed their winning streak to five games and haven't missed a beat since big man Zach Randolph went down with an MCL tear in his knee. The Grizzlies have gone 7-3 since Randolph's setback and shot 57.4 percent against the Pistons.

"I thought we did a great job of coming out focused and doing the little things that allowed us to get off to a good start," said Conley.

Tony Allen and O.J. Mayo finished with 13 and 10 points, respectively. After this evening's game versus the Kings, Memphis will open a four-game road trip against the Warriors, Blazers, Clippers and Suns. The Grizzlies have won three in a row at home and are 5-2 as the host.

Memphis defeated Sacramento, 113-96, on Jan. 3 this season on Beale Street, as Gay tallied 23 points and Sam Young added 20 off the bench in that one. Kings rookie Jimmer Fredette posted 17 points in defeat. Sacramento is winless in four straight trips to FedEx Forum, but leads the all-time series, 41-21.
