Kansas City, MO – The Kansas City Royals have agreed to terms year contracts for 2012, avoiding arbitration with all three players.
Hochevar, who was the top pick in the 2006 draft, went 11-11 with a 4.68 earned run average in 31 starts for the Royals last season.
Over 100 career appearances, including 96 starts, the 28-year-old right-hander is 30-43 with a 5.29 ERA.
Sanchez, 29, struggled to a 4-7 record with a 4.26 ERA in 19 starts for San Francisco this past season. The Royals acquired the lefty from the Giants in November for outfielder Melky Cabrera.
In 174 games -- 118 starts, all with the Giants -- Sanchez has racked up a 38-46 mark and a 4.26 ERA over six major league seasons.
Paulino, 28, posted a 4-6 record with a 4.11 ERA in 21 games (20 starts) for Kansas City after coming over in a trade with Colorado last May.
