A pair of goals from Nene helped new PSG 1.

Ancelotti took over in the French capital during the winter break and watched his team take the lead in the 38th minute when Nene curled a shot past goalkeeper Ali Ahamada.

The lead was doubled 10 minutes after halftime when a through ball from Jeremy Menez played Javier Pastore into the area for his seventh goal of the season.

Pastore then set up Nene's second goal of the contest in the 67th minute before a late goal from Daniel Braathen spoiled the clean sheet.

PSG has won four of its last five games to remain three points clear of second-place Montpellier, while Toulouse saw its three-game unbeaten streak halted.

Ajaccio 2, Auxerre 1

Ajaccio, France - Ajaccio continued its push to move off the bottom of Ligue 1 on Saturday as the club secured a 2-1 win over Auxerre in a match that saw three players receive red cards in the first half.

Auxerre snatched the lead in the 14th minute with a goal from Dennis Oliech, but saw Anthony Le Tallec hit with a red card seven minutes later.

The home side took advantage with goals from Eduardo and Fousseni Diawara six minutes apart to take the lead, only for both Samuel Bouhours and Arnaud Maire to pick up red cards for Ajaccio before halftime.

But despite playing nine men against 10 for the final 45 minutes, Ajaccio was able to keep hold of its lead and claim a third straight win.

Bordeaux 2, Valenciennes 1

Bordeaux, France - Bordeaux netted two early goals and held off Valenciennes for a 2-1 home victory on Saturday that gives the club four wins from its last six games.

Goals from Jussie and Nicolas Maurice-Belay in the first 11 minutes gave the hosts an early 2-0 lead.

Foued Kadir hit back for Valenciennes in the 53rd minute to cut the deficit in half, but a red card for Isimat Mirin nine minutes later greatly reduced the chances for the visitors of grabbing a point and Bordeaux was able to hold on for the win.

Brest 1, Nice 0

Brest, France - An early goal from Eden Ben Basat was enough to help Brest extend its unbeaten streak to five games on Saturday with a 1-0 home triumph over Nice.

Ben Basat needed just five minutes to put Brest ahead when Romain Poyet pulled a ball back for him to deposit past goalkeeper David Ospina.

Nice had lost just one of its previous four games in Ligue 1, but was unlucky not to leave with at least a point as Anthony Mounier struck the crossbar for the visitors on the half-hour mark and David Hellebuyck's volley came back off the post.

Rennes 2, Caen 0

Caen, France - Caen saw its winless streak reach seven games on Saturday as the team sustained a 2-0 defeat at home against Rennes.

Jires Ekoko struck the first tally after 20 minutes and Victor Hugo Montano's fourth goal of the campaign came midway through the second half to give Rennes a second successive victory, allowing the club to remain in the top five.

Caen's defeat leaves the team in 15th place and only two points above the drop zone.

Dijon 3, Evian 1

Dijon, France - A pair of second-half goals from Brice Jovial helped Dijon to a 3-1 win against Evian on Saturday, snapping a four-game winless streak for the home side.

Evian was reduced to 10 men after just 18 minutes when a terrible tackle by Eric Tie Bi on Eric Bautheac resulted in a red card.

Dijon took advantage shortly before halftime with a goal from Benjamin Corgnet before Jovial scored both of his goals five minutes apart early in the second half.

Yannick Sagbo pulled a goal back for Evian with 15 minutes to play, but it wasn't enough to prevent the visitors from a third loss in four games.

Montpellier 1, Lyon 0

Montpellier, France - Montpellier ended a poor run of form on Saturday by downing Lyon 1-0 at home to keep pace with leaders PSG.

The hosts had earned just one point from their previous three contests, but got a goal from the league's leading scorer, Olivier Giroud, in the 62nd minute to snap the three-game winless streak.

Giroud's goal is his 14th of the season and its keeps Montpellier within three points of PSG, while Lyon has lost its last two matches following a streak of four successive wins.

Nancy 2, Lorient 2

Nancy, France - Salif Sane's goal in the 83rd minute denied Lorient three points on the road as Nancy rallied for a 2-2 draw at the Stade Marcel Picot.

The match started well for the home side when Benjamin Moukandjo put them in front 14 minutes into the match.

But Lorient took the lead in the second half when Mathieu Coutadeur equalized just after the hour mark and Joel Campbell thought he netted the winning goal nine minutes from time.

However, a corner kick two minutes later allowed Sane to head the ball home from the middle of the area, extending Lorient's winless streak to five games.

St Etienne 1, Sochaux 0

Saint Etienne, France - St Etienne stayed within touching distance of the top five on Saturday courtesy of a goal from Kurt Zouma which gave the club a 1-0 win over Sochaux at the Stade Geoffrey-Guichard.

The lone tally arrived from a corner kick with 12 minutes to play when Banel Nicolita played a ball into the area for Zouma to head home, giving St Etienne the breakthrough that appeared to be coming for some time.

With the win, St Etienne is three points back of third-place Lille, while Sochaux's struggles continue as the club sits second from the bottom having lost four straight matches.
