Philadelphia third-year winger James van Riemsdyk has a concussion and will be out indefinitely, Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren announced hours before Saturday's game in Nashville.

"James was hit in the head in each of our last two games. He reported yesterday, not feeling like himself," Holmgren said.

The 22-year-old New Jersey native has 11 goals and 11 assists in 37 games this season. Van Riemsdyk was selected second overall by the Flyers in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
