Barcelona forward Pedro Rodriguez is set to spend the next 10 days on the sidelines after sustaining a hamstring injury.
The problem occurred during Barca's Copa del Rey win over Osasuna on Thursday when the Spain international was forced off after sustaining the injury.
Tests have shown that the injury is not serious, but the club still expects the 24-year-old to miss league games with Real Betis and Malaga as well as the first leg of the team's Copa del Rey showdown with Real Madrid on Wednesday.
The news was worse for defender Andreu Fontas, who is due to miss the next six months because of a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
The 22-year-old was taken off the field on a stretcher during Thursday's match, and the club has confirmed that he will undergo surgery in the next few days.
Fontas has appeared in five games in all competitions this season for the Catalan side.
