The Atlanta Braves on Friday agreed to a year contract with outfielder Martin Prado for the 2012 season, avoiding salary arbitration.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Prado played in 129 games for Atlanta last season, posting a .260 batting average with 26 doubles, 13 home runs and 57 RBI.

The 28-year-old has spent his entire six-year career with the Braves and is a career .293 hitter with a .341 on-base percentage, 126 doubles, 42 home runs and 216 RBI.

Prado is also a versatile fielder for Atlanta, with stints at both corner outfield positions, third base, first base, second base and shortstop in his career.

The Braves now have three players remaining that are eligible for arbitration: starting pitcher Jair Jurrjens, reliever Eric O'Flahrety and center fielder Michael Bourn.
