Madison, WI – University of Wisconsin center Peter Konz has decided to skip his senior season and will enter the NFL Draft.
Konz started 31 games for the Badgers in three seasons and was a First-Team All-Big Ten selection in 2011. He was also a finalist for the Rimington Trophy as the nation's top center.
"I knew when we received the information back from the NFL that Pete would have a tough decision ahead of him," said Wisconsin head coach Bret Bielema in a statement. "I wish nothing but the best for Pete. He has the opportunity to join a long line of Badger offensive linemen who have gone on to have success in the NFL and I expect nothing less from him."
Since 1999, Wisconsin has had 13 offensive linemen taken in the NFL draft, tied for second-most in the country.
