The New England Revolution announced on Monday that the club has signed a pair of Colombian players in defender John Lozano and midfielder/forward Fernando Cardenas.

Both players will be added to New England's roster as international players.

"Both John and Fernando have experience playing in Colombia's top division, both with and against some of CONCACAF's top club teams," Revolution general manager Michael Burns said. "Lozano is a strong central defender who reads the game well, and Cardenas is a creative player who we believe has the tools to help us in the attacking half of the field. We expect that both players will have significant roles on our team this season."

Lozano and Cardenas join the Revs from Colombian side America de Cali, with Lozano, 27, appearing in 37 games for the club following his transfer from Deportivo Pereira.

The 23-year-old Cardenas has appeared in 82 games in all competitions with a number of different teams across Colombia, scoring six goals and adding five assists.
