Atlanta Falcons cornerback Brent Grimes will miss Sunday's playoff game against the Giants because of a knee injury.

Grimes was questionable for the game after missing practice for two days, then participating on a limited basis Friday.

He started all 12 games he played during the regular season, but missed four of the last five. He had 49 tackles, one interception, one forced fumble and 14 passes defensed.

Falcons linebacker Stephen Nicholas (toe) was also sitting out against New York. The other inactives were: wide receiver Kerry Meier, quarterback J.P. Wilson, center Brett Romberg, tackle Kirk Chambers and defensive end Cliff Matthews.
