Norfolk, VA – Norfolk State football will begin its 2012 time meeting against Virginia State and will play a American Conference opponent, Ohio University, for the first time as part game schedule.
The 2011 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference champion Spartans will host Virginia State on Sept. 1 in the Labor Day Classic at Dick Price Stadium.
Norfolk State's other non-conference games will be at Liberty on Sept. 8 and Ohio University on Sept. 22.
Within MEAC play, the Spartans will host Howard (Sept. 15), Delaware State (Oct. 6), Savannah State (Nov. 3) on Homecoming Day and Morgan State (Nov. 10).
The Spartans' conference road games will be against South Carolina State (Sept. 29), Hampton (Oct. 13) in the annual Battle of the Bay, Bethune-Cookman (Oct. 20) and North Carolina A&T (Oct. 27).
