Frisco, TX – FC Dallas has announced the signings of striker Blas Perez and defender Hernan Pertuz. Per league and team policy, terms of the deals will not be disclosed.
Perez, 30, tallied 19 goals in 23 starts in his last season with Mexican second division club Leon, while also spending time with top-flight Mexican clubs Tigres and Pachuca.
The Panama international has also had success for his country as he netted the first goal in his team's CONCACAF Gold Cup win over Guadeloupe this past summer. Perez scored three goals in the 2009 Gold Cup for Panama as well.
The 22-year-old Pertuz is a center back who is coming off of a strong campaign for Colombian side Independiente Medellin.
Pertuz has served as captain of Colombia's Under-23 national team and is expected to provide depth across the back line.
