Northern Arizona University has signed a pair of Fullerton College defensive linemen, Chima Ike and Steven Garcia, to national letters of intent, Lumberjacks head coach Jerome Souers announced Tuesday.
Both players will enroll in the spring semester and have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Ike, a 5-foot-10, 255-pound defensive tackle, played two seasons at Fullerton College after transferring from Nevada. This past season, he had 28 tackles with six tackles for loss and two sacks as a sophomore.
Garcia, a 6-2, 235-pound defensive end, was a starter in each of his two seasons at Fullerton. The Southern California Football Association All- Southern Conference second-team selection recorded 41 tackles with 14.5 tackles for loss, nine sacks, two pass deflections and one forced fumbled as a sophomore.
Northern Arizona was 4-7 this past season and will return 15 starters next season, eight on offense and seven on defense.
