Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand, New York Sebastien Giguere have been named the NHL's "Three Stars" for the week ending December 25.

Marchand earned First Star honors after playing a pivotal role in a pair of Boston home wins last week. His third-period goal proved to be the game- winner in a 3-2 victory over Montreal on Monday. Four nights later, he registered his first career hat trick and added two assists in an 8-0 rout of Florida.

Gaborik received Second Star honors after extending his goal-scoring streak to four games by finding the back of the net in all three contests the Rangers played last week, finishing with five points (4g, 1a) overall. The Slovakian leads the NHL with 21 goals.

Giguere, the Third Star, won three games while posting a 1.60 goals-against average and .951 save percentage.
