Nani set up the first goal with a low cross from the left wing that Welbeck finished off with a first-time strike before the Portugal international scored on a flicked header from a Giggs cross.
Giggs put his name on the scoresheet two minutes before halftime with a deflected shot that looped over the head of Fulham goalkeeper David Stockdale, leaving the hosts down 3-0 at the break.
Rooney then scored a wonderful goal in the final few minutes with a rocket from 30 yards that crashed off the post and into the net before Berbatov tallied his first league goal with a classy backheel.

Manchester, England - Manchester City claimed its 10th win in 12 games on Wednesday as Sergio Aguero scored two goals in a 3-0 City win over Stoke City at the Etihad Stadium.
The Potters entered the match having won their last four games but watched Aguero and Adam Johnson tally first-half goals to hand the home side a 2-0 advantage.
Aguero notched his second goal of the contest early in the second half, while Stoke managed almost nothing in attack and remains in eighth in the Premiership table.
Arsenal 2, Aston Villa 1
Birmingham, England - Yossi Benayoun's goal in the 87th minute handed Arsenal a 2-1 win at Aston Villa on Wednesday, helping the Gunners keep hold of a place in the top five.
Robin van Persie netted his league-leading 16th goal of the campaign from the penalty spot after 17 minutes to put the visitors in front.
But Villa answered early in the second half through Marc Albrighton to level the match and put Villa on course to snatch a point.
However, a late corner kick from Van Persie was swung into the area and found the head of an unmarked Benayoun, who nodded it home to claim all three points for his side.
West Bromwich 3, Newcastle 2
Newcastle, England - Newcastle's winless streak reached six games on Wednesday as a late goal from Paul Scharner handed West Bromwich a 3-2 victory over the Magpies at Sports Direct Arena.
West Brom's Peter Odemwingie had his 20th-minute goal canceled out by one from Demba Ba for Newcastle 14 minutes later.
Gareth McAuley restored West Brom's lead just before the break, but Ba's second goal of the game nine minutes from time looked to have helped Newcastle to a point.
However, Newcastle was unable to remain on level terms as a header from Odemwingie was stabbed home by Scharner to send the Baggies home with all three points.
Everton 1, Swansea City 0
Liverpool, England - Everton grabbed a big 1-0 win over Swansea City at Goodison Park on Wednesday to help the club move up the table and into 11th place.
Leon Osman provided the lone tally on the hour mark by heading a corner kick from Royston Drenthe past goalkeeper Michel Vorm, handing the Swans another road defeat.
Swansea has claimed just three points away from home this season and is four points above the drop zone.
Sunderland 3, QPR 2
London, England - Wes Brown's last-minute goal for Sunderland helped the Black Cats to a 3-2 victory over QPR at Loftus Road on Wednesday, giving Martin O'Neill's men three vital points.
Sunderland looked to be in command during the first hour of the match as goals from Nicklas Bendtner and Stephane Sessegnon gave the visitors a 2-0 lead.
But QPR rallied to score two goals in a four-minute span with Heidar Helguson and Jamie Mackie bringing the hosts back.
QPR was on course for a second point in five games, but it was snatched away in the 89th minute when Kieran Richardson's corner kick was nodded home by Brown.
Wigan 0, Liverpool 0
Wigan, England - Liverpool slumped to a 0-0 draw at Wigan on Wednesday after a missed penalty kick by Charlie Adam early in the second half.
Wigan moved to within a point of safety after the result, while Liverpool could have moved into the top five with a win but remains in sixth place.
Liverpool forward Luis Suarez received an eight-match ban on Tuesday after being found guilty of racially abusing Manchester United's Patrice Evra. But the Uruguayan was in the lineup on Wednesday prior to serving his ban, and helped create the best chance of the match.
Suarez attempted an overhead kick inside the penalty area which struck the arm of Wigan's Gary Caldwell.
Adam stepped to the spot in an attempt to put his team into the lead, but goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi saved the effort and preserved a point for his side.
