Manchester United secured a resounding 5-0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage on Wednesday, keeping the pressure on leaders Manchester City.

United seized control of the match from the start as Danny Welbeck opened the scoring inside of five minutes, with Nani doubling the lead in the 28th.

Ryan Giggs made it 3-0 to the visitors shortly before halftime and both Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov added goals in the final minutes to cap the scoring.

Sir Alex Ferguson's men have now won seven of their last eight games to remain within two points of City.

Nani set up the first goal with a low cross from the left wing that Welbeck finished off with a first-time strike before the Portugal international scored on a flicked header from a Giggs cross.

Giggs put his name on the scoresheet two minutes before halftime with a deflected shot that looped over the head of Fulham goalkeeper David Stockdale, leaving the hosts down 3-0 at the break.

Rooney then scored a wonderful goal in the final few minutes with a rocket from 30 yards that crashed off the post and into the net before Berbatov tallied his first league goal with a classy backheel.
