The Anaheim Ducks haven't tasted victory on the road in game trek against the Chicago Blackhawks at the United Center.

Anaheim has lost nine straight as the guest (0-6-3) and last prevailed on the road Oct. 27 at Minnesota. The Ducks are 2-7-4 away from the Honda Center this season and enter this showdown with Chicago on a winning note. They ended a two-game slide and won for the fourth time in 21 tries with Wednesday's 4-1 decision over the Phoenix Coyotes.

Niklas Hagman had two goals and Jonas Hiller stopped 19 shots for the Ducks, who are last in the Pacific Division and also got goals from Rod Pelley and Kyle Palmieri.

"It was nice to get chances and to play on the first line," said Hagman. "I've known I could score goals. Tonight I was in the right place at the right time and, most importantly, we got the win."

Ducks veteran Teemu Selanne owns a six-game points streak and has totaled 15 points in his last 13 contests. He also has assists in five straight games.

Anaheim will also visit the Jets, Stars, Kings and Sharks on the road trip, and one more road loss will set a franchise mark for the longest away skid.

Fans of the Blackhawks will get a chance to see their favorite players quite often on the upcoming schedule, as the team will play 14 of the next 17 games in the Windy City. The Blackhawks have posted at least one point in 12 of the 14 home games this season, going 9-2-3 as the host.

Chicago has won three in a row overall and seven of its last nine games, including a 4-3 shootout victory in Minnesota on Wednesday. Jonathan Toews scored the winner in the shootout and posted a goal and an assist, while Michael Frolik and Marian Hossa also scored for the Blackhawks, who lead the Central Division by three points ahead of Detroit and St. Louis.

"We got some breaks early, then gave them back later," said Chicago head coach Joel Quenneville. "Still, I thought for the most part we played a good game and came out of here with two points."

Ray Emery made 27 saves for the win and is expected to make his fourth straight start in net tonight. Emery has stopped 130 of the 139 shots he has faced over his last six appearances. Forward Dan Carcillo is listed as questionable with an upper body injury and sat out of practice Thursday.

Patrick Sharp had an assist against the Wild to push his points streak to seven games (6g, 4a), the longest active streak in the league. Hossa has registered six points (2g, 4a) during his current three-game points streak.

Chicago is 2-0-0 against the Ducks this season and the two teams will wrap up the series Feb. 26 in California. The Blackhawks have won four of the past six meetings between the teams.
