Stars down Rangers behind Bachman's shutout

Richard Bachman turned aside all 34 shots 0 victory over former Stars forward Brad Richards and the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden.

The 24-year-old Bachman, who made his second career NHL start, posted 13 saves in each of the final two periods as the Rangers tried fervently to solve the rookie goaltender.

Trevor Daley supplied the game's lone goal in the third period for Dallas, which improved to 2-1-0 on its three-game road trip.

Henrik Lundqvist recorded 27 saves for the Rangers, who had notched at least one point in 16 of their last 19 games (14-3-2).
