The Philadelphia 76ers announced Sunday that center Spencer Hawes, a restricted free agent, has accepted the team's qualifying offer.

The 7-foot-1 Hawes started all but one game for the Sixers last season, averaging 7.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 21.2 minutes per game.

Philadelphia posted a 14-6 record in 2010-11 when the former first-round pick scored in double figures.

Hawes spent the first three seasons of his career with the Sacramento Kings, who selected him 10th overall in the 2007 NBA Draft. The Kings traded him to the Sixers for Samuel Dalembert in June 2010.

For his career, Hawes has averaged 8.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 301 games.
