Union adds Costa Rican forward Martinez

Chester, PA – The Philadelphia Union announced on Wednesday that the club has signed Costa Rican forward Josue Martinez from Deportivo Saprissa.

Martinez has come up through Saprissa's youth system and has tallied 18 goals in 43 appearances for the club since making his debut in 2009.

The 21-year-old helped Saprissa capture the league title in 2010 while he has earned 11 caps on the international level with Costa Rica, scoring two goals.
