Shortly after agreeing to a deal with free agent reliever Jon Rauch, the New York Mets continued to be active following the departure of Jose Reyes, as they acquired righty Ramon Ramirez and outfielder Andres Torres from the San Francisco Giants in exchange for outfielder Angel Pagan.

The deal is pending physicals for all involved.

Ramirez appeared in 66 games for the Giants last season and was 3-3 with four saves and a 2.62 earned run average. Torres had fallen out of favor in San Francisco last season, hitting just .221 after batting .268 the previous year.

The Mets, though, favor Torres' defense to Pagan, a below-average defender who saw his average dip nearly 30 points last season to .262.
