The Philadelphia Flyers activated center term injured reserve on Tuesday and assigned him to Adirondack of the American Hockey League.

Schenn was expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks after suffering a broken left foot during a late October game in Montreal.

Prior to the setback, the former first-round pick of the Kings went scoreless in four games with Philadelphia. Schenn earned a call-up after collecting four goals and four assists in four games with the Phantoms at the start of the year.

In addition, the Flyers assigned defenseman Kevin Marshall to Adirondack and recalled forward Harry Zolnierczyk from Trenton of the ECHL.

Marshall had been recalled for Monday's loss to Carolina, and Zolnierczyk had been stashed at Trenton to make room for Marshall and fellow defensive prospect Marc-Andre Bourdon.
