PSV Eindhoven placed some 1, to close the gap at the top of the Dutch table.

With 28 points through 13 games, PSV moves to within three points of AZ Alkmaar, which will face last-place Excelsior on Sunday.

Tim Matavz opened the scoring in the 11th minute, but it was quickly canceled out by Soufian El Hassnaoui in the 22nd minute.

However, PSV took control of the match through Georginio Wijnaldum, who bagged a second-half brace to help his side claim all three points. The Dutch midfielder provided the winner in the 54th minute before sealing the victory with an insurance goal six minutes from time.

Since falling to AZ Alkmaar in its opening match of the season, PSV has put together an impressive 12-game unbeaten run in the Eredivisie to stay in the title chase.

De Graafschap, meanwhile, has lost three straight and sits third from bottom with nine points on the year.

Twente threw away an opportunity to keep pace with PSV, conceding a late equalizer to Lerin Duarte in a 1-1 draw with Heracles. Twente now sits two points shy of PSV, occupying third place in the Dutch top flight.

NAC earned a dramatic point at the Amsterdam Arena on Saturday, scoring twice in the final five minutes to draw 2-2 with Ajax.

And elsewhere in the Eredivisie on Saturday, Sanharib Malki and Wiljan Pluim scored for Roda in a 2-1 victory over NEC, while Gerald Sibon struck in the 76th minute to salvage a point for Heerenveen in a 1-1 draw with RKC Waalwijk.
