Michael Phelps (Baltimore, Md.) and Missy Franklin (Centennial, Colo.) earned the Male and Female High Points Awards at the USA Swimming Grand Prix in Minneapolis, Minn. Phelps won gold medals in all five of his events, which included the 200m IM, 100m and 200m butterfly, 200m freestyle and 100m backstroke. Meanwhile, Franklin also took home five medals, which included three gold, one silver and one bronze.

PANNING FOR GOLD

Anna Johannes (Alexandria, Va.) and Amanda Everlove (Wichita, Kan.) tied for first in the women's 100m butterfly (S9) at the Parapan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, on Nov. 13. Their time of 1:15.80 established a Parapan American record.

Cyclists Oz Sanchez (San Diego, Calif.) and Steven Peace (San Diego, Calif.) raced to gold in their time trial events at the Parapan American Games on Nov. 13, in Guadalajara, Mexico. Matt Updike (Denver, Colo.) and the team of Karissa Whitsell (Eugene, Ore.) and Lisa Turnbull (Springfield, Ore.) took silver in the mixed H1-4 and blind/visually impaired time trials, respectively.

BOBSLED/SKELETON

The U.S. claimed 11 medals - one gold medal, five silver and five bronze - at the first America's Cup bobsled/skeleton event of the season in Park City, Utah, on Nov. 12.

FENCING

Jessica O'Neill-Lyublinsky (Salem, N.Y.) defeated Katharine Holmes (Washington, D.C.) in overtime to win the junior (Under-20) women's epee on Nov. 12, at the North American Cup in Austin, Texas. Alexander Eldeib (Burke, Va.) won the junior men's epee.

FIGURE SKATING

The ice dancing team of Maia and Alex Shibutani (Ann Arbor, Mich.) earned its first career ISU Grand Prix Series gold medal on Nov. 13, in Sapporo, Japan, to gain a spot in the ISU Grand Prix Final. Ross Miner (Boston, Mass.), the 2011 U.S. bronze medalist, earned his first career Grand Prix medal with a men's bronze.

HOCKEY

The Four Nations Cup came down to a shootout for the U.S. and Canada women's teams. Forward Hilary Knight (Sun Valley, Idaho) scored the decisive goal to lift the U.S. to a 4-3 victory in Nykoping, Sweden. The U.S. also defeated Finland, 10-0, on Nov. 12, lost to Canada, 3-1, on Nov. 10, and defeated Sweden, 8-0, on Nov. 9.

JUDO

The U.S. earned five bronze medals from Nov. 11-12, at the Oceania Judo Union World Cup event, which continues in Apia, Samoa, through Nov. 15. Brad Bolen (River Forest, Ill.), Aaron Kunihiro (Covina, Calif.), Janine Nakao (Marina, Calif.), Kyle Vashkulat (Langhorne, Pa.) and Jacob Larsen (Boulder, Colo.) all finished third in their respective weight divisions.

VOLLEYBALL

After defeating Brazil, Serbia, Korea, Kenya, Argentina, Algeria and the Dominican Republic as well as losing to Germany, the he U.S. remains in the running for one of three 2012 Olympic Games berths as the FIVB Women's World Cup moves into the fourth and final round in Tokyo, Japan. The three teams that reach the medal podium on Nov. 18 will qualify to compete in London next summer.

WEIGHTLIFTING

Sarah Robles (San Jacinto, Calif.) earned 11th in the women's 75kg-plus division on Nov. 13, for the best U.S. finish at the Senior World Weightlifting Championships in Paris, France.

WRESTLING

Five U.S. wrestlers won bouts to lead the U.S. to a 5-2 win over Russia on Nov. 11, at the New York Athletic Club International in New York City, N.Y. Reece Humphrey (Columbus, Ohio) then earned the Outstanding Wrestler award on Nov. 13, when he was one of four U.S. wrestlers to claim men's freestyle gold medals on the day. Saturday's Outstanding Wrestler awards went to Alli Ragan (Carbondale, Ill.) in women's freestyle and Andrew Bisek (Colorado Springs, Colo.) in Greco-Roman.
