Therriault is on the Watch List for the 2011 Walter Payton Award and Hamilton is being considered for the 2011 Buck Buchanan Award. Both national awards are presented by The Sports Network and sponsored by Fathead.com.

The HBCU All-Star Bowl selects 100 draft-eligible seniors from the major HBCU football conferences, the MEAC, SWAC, SIAC and CIAA.

A record number of 35 players from the 2010 HBCU All-Star Bowl, including three whom were drafted, signed contracts with NFL teams this year.
