Bronx, NY –  CC Sabathia will remain with the New York Yankees after agreeing to a contract extension on Monday.

Sabathia had an opportunity to opt out of the seven-year, $161 million deal he signed with the club in December 2008, but a linked video on the left-hander's Twitter page announced his decision to stay.
