Alvaro Cejudo and Nino scored, and Osasuna 0 on Sunday at the Reyno de Navarra.

Levante had seven wins and two draws through nine matches to enter the week in first place in the table, but Cejudo scored in the 39th minute and Nino scored in the 42nd as Osasuna ran its unbeaten streak to three matches.

Osasuna, which lost Cejudo to a red card early in the second half, held on for its third win as it moved up to seventh. Levante is third, now two points back of leader Real Madrid and one point behind second-place Barcelona.

Atletico Madrid 3, Real Zaragoza 1

Madrid, Spain - Adrian scored twice and Atletico Madrid defeated Real Zaragoza 3-1 on Sunday at the Vicente Calderon to snap a five-game winless streak in La Liga and a seven-game winless run in all competitions.

Adrian opened the scoring after 19 minutes, Alvaro Dominguez Soto added a goal in the 31st and Adrian completed his double in the 75th. Helder Postiga scored a late goal for Real Zaragoza, which lost its third straight.

Atletico moved eight points off the bottom of the table, while Zaragoza stayed just four points above last-place Granada.

Sporting Gijon 1, Athletic Bilbao 1

Gijon, Spain - Mate Bilic scored in the 71st minute and Sporting Gijon managed a 1-1 draw with Athletic Bilbao at the El Molinon to extend its undefeated run to three games Sunday in La Liga.

Gijon had won its last two after opening the season winless in seven games and Bilic responded to Susaeta's goal in the 63rd as the teams shared the points.

Sporting Gijon is still just three points off the bottom of the table. Bilbao, unbeaten in six La Liga games, is ninth and 12 points behind first-place Real Madrid.

Racing 1, Real Betis 0

Santander, Spain - Christian Stuani converted a penalty in the second half and Racing defeated Real Betis, 1-0, on Sunday at the Estadio El Sardinero for its first win in La Liga this season.

Racing was winless through nine matches, but Stuani's 62nd-minute penalty kick was enough to send Betis to its sixth straight loss after it opened with four straight wins.

Racing moved three points off the bottom of the table, while Betis slipped to 11th and 13 points off the pace of leaders Real Madrid.

Malaga 2, Espanyol 1

Malaga, Spain - Apono converted a penalty kick in the 73rd minute and Malaga edged Espanyol, 1-0, on Sunday at the Estadio La Rosaleda to snap a three-game losing streak in La Liga.

Rondon handed Malaga the lead after 4 minutes, but Alvaro Vasquez equalized in the 44th for Espanyol, which had its three-game win streak snapped.

Malaga is sixth in the table, nine points behind leaders Real Madrid. Espanyol slipped to seventh, 10 points off the pace.
