Mauricio Pinilla and Abel Hernandez scored, game Serie A losing streak with a 2-0 win over Lecce on Thursday.

Pinilla converted a penalty kick in the 27th minute to open the scoring, and Hernandez added the clincher in the 77th minute.

Palermo lost its last two league games at Roma and AC Milan, and was outscored 4-0 in those fixtures, but its own Renzo Barbera stadium and one-win Lecce was the right mix to snap the short slide.

Even with three losses this season, Palermo is just three points off the pace of undefeated leaders Juventus. Palermo has four wins and a tie, while Juve is on 16 points with four wins and four draws.

Lecce lost for the sixth time - a Serie A high - through eight matches, and is just one point off the bottom and winless Cesena.
