Winnipeg, MB – The Winnipeg Jets have placed defenseman Ron Hainsey on injured reserve because of an upper body injury.
Hainsey saw a streak of 155 straight games played come to an end when he did not dress for the October 19 contest against Toronto. He appeared in all 82 games for the Thrashers last season.
The 30-year-old veteran has two assists in four games this season.
Winnipeg activated center Ben Maxwell off injured reserve. Maxwell had been sidelined since late in the preseason with an upper body injury. He notched a goal and an assist in 12 games with Atlanta last season.
