New Jersey Devils center Jacob Josefson suffered a broken right clavicle in the first period of Friday's game against the San Jose Sharks.
The 20-year-old Swede logged less than four minutes of ice time before leaving the game.
Josefson was drafted 20th overall in the 2009 NHL Draft by the Devils and has three goals and 11 points in 32 career games.
He was also injured against the Sharks on October 27 last season and needed surgery to repair a detached ligament in his hand. Josefson missed 30 games due to the injury.
