Devin Setoguchi's goal in the fourth round of 1 victory over the Edmonton Oilers.

Setoguchi skated down center ice and beat Nikolai Khabibulin with a wrister high to the stick side for the game-deciding goal.

Matt Cullen scored the Wild's goal in regulation and Niklas Backstrom slid across the goal mouth and stopped Shawn Horcoff's attempt to tie the shootout with his right pad to seal the win for Minnesota.

Backstrom stopped 21-of-22 shots as the Wild took their 17th straight victory over Edmonton at Xcel Energy Center. Edmonton hasn't won in Minnesota since January 16, 2007 and has now lost seven straight and 12 of its past 15 overall in this series.

Ryan Smyth lit the lamp for Edmonton and Khabibulin made 34 saves in a losing effort for the Oilers.

Edmonton struck first when Jordan Eberle sent a pass from the left circle to Eric Belanger at the high slot, who sent a shot towards the net. Cullen deflected the shot and Smyth swiped the slow-moving disc from right in front of Backstrom past the goaltender at the 11:40 mark of the first period.

Cullen tied the game at one when he took a loose puck out of a scrum from center ice and cruised into the Oilers' zone. He glided down the right side and set up like he would pass, but instead sent a hard wrister into the upper- right corner of the net and past the glove of Khabibulin with 11:42 left in the period.

Minnesota outshot Edmonton 14-1 in the final period but could not find a way to get the puck past Khabibulin, sending the game into overtime.

Marco Scandella failed to convert on a breakaway in overtime but was hooked from behind by Taylor Hall, resulting in a power play for the Wild with 2:17 left in the extra period. But Minnesota was unable to take advantage, which forced the shootout.
